Privacy Policy
Short version: this website doesn't track you, and we don't collect or sell your personal information.

This policy explains what information Byte Sized Academy ("we", "us") handles when you visit bytesizedacademy.org, watch our videos, or interact with our social media accounts, and how our posting tools work.
This website
- We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or social media widgets on this site.
- There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms, so we don't ask for any personal information.
- Lesson quizzes save your scores only in your own browser (local storage), so you can see your progress. They're never sent to us, and you can clear them anytime by clearing this site's data in your browser.
- Our fonts and videos are served from this site itself, not from third-party services.
- The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may process technical data such as your IP address when your browser requests a page, for security and to keep the service running. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Our social media accounts
We post our videos on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. When you watch, like, comment on or message our accounts there, that platform's own privacy policy applies. We can see what those platforms show any account owner, such as public comments, messages you send us, and summary statistics (for example, how many people watched a video). We use that only to run our channel and reply to you, and we don't sell it or share it with anyone.
Our posting tools
We use small tools we built ourselves to publish our own videos to our own accounts through each platform's official API (for example, the Instagram API and the TikTok Content Posting API). These tools:
- only sign in to Byte Sized Academy's own accounts, with our permission;
- only upload our videos, covers and captions, and read the basic account and post information needed to do that;
- don't collect, store or share data about other users or viewers;
- keep access tokens private and use them only for posting.
Tips
If you choose to support us, payments are handled by Ko-fi and its payment providers (such as PayPal or Stripe), under Ko-fi's own privacy policy. We never see your card details. Ko-fi shares with us what any creator sees, such as your name or display name, email, the amount and any message you leave, and we use that only to thank you and answer questions about your support.
If you email us at [email protected], we use your address and message only to reply, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
Children
Our lessons are made for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete any message or email you've sent us, or ask what information we have about you, by writing to [email protected].
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
